Most people I photograph have never commissioned portraits before.
Some are updating a personal brand. Some are marking a new chapter. Others simply realize that the photographs they have no longer feel like them.
If you've been thinking about creating portraits but aren't sure where to begin, you're exactly where most of my clients started.
My job is not to expect you to know how this works. My job is to guide you through it.
THE PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE
A commission is closer to a conversation. One that happens in front of a camera, in a private space, between two people willing to slow down and pay attention. No performance required. No version of yourself to prepare beforehand.
Created slowly, with space for conversation, movement, and honest observation.
The process is guided gently so you never feel pressure to perform in front of the camera. Whether your portraits are quiet and grounded or more editorial and expressive, we'll create them together with intention.
What interests me most isn't creating a version of you. It's creating space for you to be seen.
WORKING TOGETHER
Every Commission begins with a Conversation.
We'll spend about 20 minutes talking about what you're hoping to create, answering your questions, and exploring whether working together feels like the right fit. Nothing is booked, and nothing is paid until we've both decided to move forward. If we choose to work together, the next step is reserving your commission with a $300 Creative Fee. It reserves your session and begins the creative planning process, where we'll develop the ideas, details, and direction for your portraits before your session even begins. If not, you'll still leave with a clearer direction than when we started.

Portrait Commission
Created with one clear purpose in mind. Whether you're updating your website, marking a personal milestone, or simply ready for portraits that feel like you, this commission keeps the experience focused, intentional, and unhurried.
Editorial Commission
Designed for people who want room to explore. Multiple looks, movement, and a little more creative freedom allow us to create a broader collection of portraits with depth and variety.
HOW IT WORKS
01 // Start the Conversation
Every commission begins with a conversation. We'll talk about what you're creating, why the photographs matter, and whether the work feels aligned for both of us.
02 // Begin the Creative Process
If we decide to move forward, your next step is the $300 Creative Fee. This reserves your session and begins our Creative Planning & Design process, where we'll develop the ideas, wardrobe, and overall direction before your portrait session.
03 // Create the Work
By the time your session arrives, all of the planning is behind us. You'll simply arrive, settle in, and I'll guide you through the experience while we create the work together.
04 // Reveal & Deliver
After the session, we'll review the work together and finalize the images before delivery.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING
How far out can I book?
I recommend reaching out as early as you can if you’re planning commissioned work. Most clients book 3–6 weeks ahead.
What is the investment?
Every project begins with a $300 Creative Fee, which covers the planning, guidance, portrait session, and same-day reveal. Finished portraits are selected separately. You may reserve a commission before your session or choose individual portraits or a portrait collection during your reveal.
Do you offer payment options?
Yes. Portrait commissions may be paid in full or through a payment plan. Individual portrait purchases are made during your reveal appointment. Any remaining balance for commissioned work is due before your session date.
Can you help me with my wardrobe
Yes. We’ll discuss wardrobe, styling, and overall visual direction during your creative planning & design call so the final work feels cohesive and aligned with the tone of your session.
Where do portrait sessions take place?
Most commissions are photographed in a quiet, private space designed specifically for portraiture. The environment is intentionally simple, allowing us to focus on the person in front of the camera rather than elaborate sets or distractions.
Can my session be photographed somewhere else?
Yes. When it supports the work we are creating together, sessions can take place in your home, creative workspace, or another meaningful location. More expansive commissions may move between locations when appropriate. Travel and location details are discussed during the planning process so you'll know exactly what to expect before the session.
Do I have to decide on a commission before my portrait session?
No. Some clients know from the beginning that they'd like to reserve a portrait commission. Others prefer to experience the session first and choose their favorite portraits during their same-day reveal. We'll talk through both approaches before your session so you can decide what feels right for you.
